Bernese Mountain Dogs are best recognized for their unique black, rust and white tri-colored coat pattern. No two have the exact same markings.  

Known for

These dogs typically stand between 23-27 inches tall and can weigh 80-115 pounds. Their substantial size makes them slow to mature.

Powerful Breed

Despite their giant size, Bernese Mountain Dogs have a calm, patient temperament. They form especially close bonds with their owners.

Affectionate Nature

Bernese Mountain Dogs have a thick double coat they shed moderately year-round. Expect lots of hair around the house!

Moderate Shedding

Sadly, this breed tends to have a shorter lifespan and is prone to elbow/hip dysplasia, cancer, bloat and other issues.
